GENERAL
1 water bottle (1L minimum)
1 Towel
1 toiletries (face cloth, toothbrush, toothpaste etc)
5 underwear
1 sunglasses
4 T-shirts
1 travelling to/from clothes (limit weight and quantity - may be able to use some hiking clothes)
1 Head lamp
1 insect repellant (shared with others)
1 sun block (30 SPF minimum) (shared with others)
1 lip balm (optional)
3 garbage bags ( for waterproofing)
1 5000-10000 yen in cash for souvenirs, food and onsen expenses
1 camera (optional )
1 playing cards (optional)
1 book (optional)
HIKING
1 Day backpack. Carry water and snacks
1 Pair of Hiking Boots or sturdy trail running shoes
1 Fleece jacket/ woolen sweater (no cotton sweatshirts/hoodies)
1 Waterproof rain jacket with hood (or GoreTex jacket) (test it in the shower!)
3 Pairs of Wool/Synthetic blend light-midweight cushioned hiking socks
1 Hiking shorts (not cotton)
1 Hiking pants (not cotton)
1 Rain Hat/ Baseball Cap
1 backpack rain cover (optional)
high energy snacks (chocolate, power bars, trail mix etc) (optional)
RAFTING
Swimwear
1 Pair of Water Shoes/shoes that can get wet (not flip flops)
CAMPING
Sleeping bag is recommended. Can borrow from Evergreen company
Sleeping mat is optional. Evergreen has thin mats that can be borrowed
